Stephanie Hass is a Registered Dietitian who lives in Brockville, Ontario. She originally grew up in the small town of Fergus, Ontario where her family still resides.
She completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Foods and Nutrition with an Honours Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Western Ontario in London. During her degree, Stephanie avidly volunteered for various initiatives including important roles through the Canadian Diabetes Association; Canadian Cancer Society; Community Food Advisor Program; Big Brother, Big Sisters of St. Thomas/ Elgin and London Regional Cancer Program to name a few. She is strong believer in giving back to her community.
After graduating, she successfully obtained a placement with the Grand River Hospital Accredited Dietetic Internship Program in Kitchener, Ontario. Stephanie spent 10-months gaining specialized training within various clinical areas (such as diabetes, pediatrics, nephrology, mental health and surgery) along with building her expertise in community nutrition and food service operations.
Stephanie is formally trained to perform specialized malnutrition assessments to identify risk factors for poor nutritional status. Stephanie is registered to practice as a Dietitian through the College of Dietitians of Ontario (member ID 12795) and is also a member of Dietitians of Canada (member ID 40503).
Since graduating and moving to Brockville, Stephanie has worked in Long Term Care and throughout her community. She has completed presentations and special projects through the Healthy Eating for Secondary Schools Fund for Seaway Secondary School in Iroquois, Ontario; has worked alongside the public health unit and takes every
opportunity to share information through various grocery store promotion and other venues as able.
Stephanie is an extremely passionate individual who cares about her community and shows strong initiative to better the lives of others. She is eager to grow her reputation in the Ottawa area and to use her growing expertise to lead people through their wellness journey using evidenced-based nutrition and a motivational, supportive approach.
